My Favorite Exercise To Train For Each Body Part
I already posted a piece on what exercises are my least favorite for each body part (which you can read here http://laytonslifechoice.blogspot.com/2018/05/my-least-favorite-exercises-for-each.html ) Now I am going to post my favorite exercises for each body part. Here we go!
Chest- Incline Bench.
This was a tough one because I also like dumbbell flyes, but ultimately I like the mass you are able to produce with Incline Presses and the thickness that comes with it.
Legs- Squats
Very easy as to why. Squatting puts your body in an anabolic state which will help with overall muscle growth. I always enjoyed seeing the results from squats not just in my legs, but my body as a whole after its response to squats.
Back- Deadlift
While Deadlifts are considered a full body exercise, there is no denying the growth and benefits your back can receive from it.(it can help with your bench press and squats) plus it is a test of ultimate strength. Just you and the weight on the floor and you giving everything you got to make sure you prevail!
Shoulders- Barbell Shoulder Press
I like doing these because of the fact it's pushing movement is similar to the bench and if you want a bigger bench, then you are going to need a stronger upper body. Barbell Shoulder Presses always helped me out when it came to this.
Biceps- Hammer Curls
Hammer Curls allow me to use more weight than regular dumbbell curls and I also feel I hit both of the brachialis and brachioradialis (the two muscles in the bicep) a lot more efficient than a regular dumbbell curl. And there is less stress (at least for me) on my forearms than there is with barbell curls.
Calves- Barbell calf raises
I like to get on a little block on the tip of my toes and then carefully extend my calves up and down. I feel it's the best way for thickness and overall strength in your calves. Even better than standing and/or sitting calf raises
Again this is all just personal preference and what might work best for someone, may not work as well for somebody else. Anyways, feel free to let me know what works best for you and give me some of your feedback!
